Call for a Project Research Assistant(New)

The UR-CST, School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with Dedan Kimathi University of Technology – Kenya, Carnegie Mellon University-Africa, Carnegie Mellon University-Pittsburgh and University of Nairobi is conducting a research project titled “ Leveraging additive manufacturing to improve access to quality prosthetic and orthotic services in developing countries” supported by AFRETEC by Carnegie Mellon Engineering.
This research project will leverage advances in emerging technologies to accelerate access to prosthetic or orthotic services. The researchers will integrate elements of machine learning, 3D scanning, and 3D printing in ensuring a cost effective, speedy, and quality access to prosthetic and orthotic services. This work will be done in close collaboration with local health providers.
The project team is seeking a master student in IoT who will work on the project as a project research assistant. This research assistant will carry out the programming parts for the project and the programming skills are most important for someone to be part of the project.
This to request the interested masters students in IoT from Cohort 5 currently finishing the year 1 to send their applications with the following documents:
Motivation letter, CV, Certified Transcripts at bachelor level. Performance for the modules done at Master level will be also considered during the evaluation.
