ACEIoT participate in the celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science
The African Centre of Excellence in Internet of Things (ACEIoT) has participated in an exhibition organized in line with the celebration if the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The celebration which took place on 10th February 2023 was organized by the National Council of Science and Technology in partnership with the Ministry of Gender Family Promotion.
Under the theme, “Innovate, Demonstrate, Elevate, Advance & Sustain– I.D.E.A.S.: Bringing Everyone Forward for Sustainable and Equitable Development”, the celebration brought together all categories of scientists, mainly girls and women to engage in scientific and inspiring discussions/talks aiming at promoting equality in science, technology, and innovation for socio-economic sustainable development, in line with the 2030 agenda and its SGDs.
During this exhibition, scientists from ACEIoT exhibited different innovative projects which advance science and technology, mainly the incubator project to promote AI which was launched recently.
The celebration built on the Government of Rwanda’s commitment to promote full and equal access to participation in science for women and girls and to advance their achievements in science, to recognize and celebrate Rwandan women’s achievements in science.
